What is the reason behind the name?
A safe space for adolescents who experience bullying to have fun and make friends
Kim grew up on a dairy farm in Foley, MN learning the meaning of hard work, but good fun and play, too. She has a great love for all things animal and she and her daughter have a house full of dogs, cats, and fish. She attended Saint Cloud State University to earn her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, before returning to get her double Masters' degrees in Addiction and Mental Health Counseling at the age of 41. She strongly believes that it is never too late to begin anew, and every dream is possible. She enjoyed a successful radio broadcasting career for 19 years before becoming a Stockbroker/Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones. Kim's strengths are relationship building and caring for people. Most people describe Kim as compassionate and genuine. Her sister's death from a long-time pain pill drug addiction when she was only 41, is what led her to become a counselor....turning her pain from losing her best friend, to purpose. Kim's experience enables her to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. She treats a number of mental health disorders, and provides a neutral ground to individuals, families, children (ages 4 and up) and couples.
Kim's focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. She achieves this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
Kim promises to be there for you every step of your journey. Her goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
